December Photography Sessions in Bunbury: A Month of Stories, Smiles & Milestones

December is always one of the most exciting (and busiest!) months of the year, and this December was no exception. From festive Christmas and Santa photos to newborn sessions, family portraits, commercial projects and large-scale events, the final month of the year showcased just how diverse photography in Bunbury and the South West can be.

As a Bunbury-based professional photographer, I had the privilege of capturing meaningful moments for families, businesses and brands across the region. Here’s a look back at my December photography sessions and the stories behind them.

Christmas Photography Sessions

December wouldn’t be complete without Christmas photography. My Christmas and Santa photo sessions were filled with laughter, excitement and that magical festive energy children bring into the studio. From tiny first Christmas moments to sibling giggles and heartfelt family cuddles, these sessions created keepsakes families will treasure for years to come.

These sessions are always about more than just photos – they’re about capturing tradition, joy and the feeling of the season. Thank you to every family who trusted me to document such special memories.

Family Photography in Bunbury

Alongside festive sessions, December was filled with relaxed family photography sessions. Whether held outdoors or in studio, these sessions focused on connection, personality and real moments. From playful interactions to quiet, loving moments, family photography continues to be one of the most rewarding parts of my work.

Family photos make the perfect end-of-year keepsake and are a beautiful way to mark milestones, growth and togetherness.

Newborn Photography Sessions

Welcoming new life into the world is always an honour to photograph. December newborn photography sessions were calm, gentle and baby-led, focusing on tiny details and natural moments.

Newborn sessions are designed to be relaxed and unhurried, ensuring parents feel comfortable while their baby’s earliest days are preserved forever.

Pet Photography: Including the Whole Family

Pets are family too, and December included some beautiful pet photography sessions. Capturing the unique personality and bond between pets and their owners is always a joy, whether it’s playful energy or quiet companionship.

Pet photography sessions are a wonderful way to include every loved member of the family in your photos.

Real Estate Photography in Bunbury

December also included professional real estate photography for local properties. High-quality images play a vital role in showcasing homes at their best, helping listings stand out online and attract the right buyers.

With a focus on clean composition, natural light and attention to detail, real estate photography remains an essential service for agents and property owners across Bunbury and the South West.

Event Photography: Harris Scarfe Grand Opening

One of the highlights of December was being the official photographer for the grand opening of Harris Scarfe in Bunbury. Capturing a major retail opening is always exciting, from ribbon-cutting moments to crowd engagement and branded details.

Event photography is about telling the story of the day while creating professional imagery businesses can use for marketing, media and future promotions.

Commercial & Product Photography

December featured a variety of commercial photography projects, including:

Product photography for Uber Eats, capturing fresh, eye-catching images designed for online platforms
Commercial photography at OTR, capturing the special cladding

Strong commercial imagery helps businesses stand out, build trust and connect with customers across digital and print platforms.

Box Photography Sessions

My box photography sessions continued to grow in popularity throughout December. These fun, creative sessions focus on personality and expression, resulting in a unique collage-style artwork that families love.

Box sessions are perfect for children, siblings and families looking for something a little different and full of character.

A Grateful End to a Busy Year

December wrapped up an incredible year of photography, and I’m truly grateful to every family, business and client who supported my work. From Christmas memories and newborn beginnings to commercial projects and major events, each session tells a unique story.

If you’re looking for a professional photographer in Bunbury for family photography, newborn sessions, pet photography, commercial work, events or real estate photography, I’d love to work with you.
