A Portrait of Me — Stepping in Front of the Camera

This personal branding session was a little different for me.

As a Bunbury personal branding photographer, I'm usually the one behind the camera — guiding, encouraging, and helping others feel comfortable being seen. Stepping in front of the lens myself for my own professional branding photography session in Bunbury felt… intimidating.

I'm shy by nature, and if I'm being completely honest, this shoot pushed me well outside my comfort zone.

There were moments I wanted to put it off. Moments where self-doubt crept in. Moments where I thought, "Maybe I'll do this later… when I feel more confident… when I'm in better shape… when life feels a little more put together."

But then I realised something important — there is never a perfect time.

Right now might feel like the "worst shape" of my life physically, but it's also a season filled with growth, resilience, learning, and strength. And those things deserve to be remembered too — including in the images I use to represent my own brand.

These branding portraits aren't about perfection. They're about presence. About showing up as I am — right now.

Looking back at these images, I don't see flaws. I see courage. I see a business owner who challenged her own inner voice and chose to honour herself anyway. And surprisingly… I love them.

This experience reminded me why personal branding photography in Bunbury is so powerful — especially for women running their own business. It's not just about how you look on your website or LinkedIn; it's about how you feel, how far you've come, and the story you're living in this moment.
