What’s Included in Your Photo Editing
Every session includes professional editing so your photos look their best. This page explains exactly what’s covered, so there are no surprises and you can plan your session with confidence.
What’s included in your package
Each of your final images receives standard editing, which includes:
- White balance correction so colours and skin tones look natural
- Light and exposure adjustments for bright, balanced images
- Minor cropping and straightening where necessary
What’s not included
Your session fee is a package price, which means detailed retouching isn’t part of it. Please note I can’t edit the following out of your photos:
- Bra straps or underwear showing
- Price tags and size tags on clothing
- Windblown or messy hair (for example, on a windy beach day, hair will do what the wind wants, not what we want)
- Stains, spills or marks on clothing, or saliva and dribble on little ones’ faces and clothes
How to prepare (this makes a big difference!)
Try your outfit on before the day. Put on the outfit you’re planning to wear, with the underwear you plan to wear, and check yourself in the mirror. If it shows in the mirror, it will show in the photo. A few things to check:
- Do any straps show at the shoulders, neckline or back?
- Is anything visible through the fabric, especially in bright light?
- Have you removed all price and size tags (including the little ones at the neckline and side seams)?
Plan for hair and weather. If you’re booked for an outdoor shoot, bring a hair tie or clips and a brush. Wind is the biggest hair challenge, so we can also adjust the location or timing on the day.
Little ones: Bring a spare outfit, wipes and a bib or cloth if you’re photographing babies and toddlers. Start the session with a clean shirt and a clean face, and I’m happy to pause so you can freshen up.

Additional retouching is available for $5 per image.
