So This is a rant from me today and I guess lots of small business owners feel exactly the same.
Being the solo person in this business as like many others we sometimes work hours others wouldn't work just to get it done. This is a past client whose wedding I photographed years ago and who booked a session for her husbands 40th birthday, no deposit paid. No one besides ME was at a loss here. She clearly forgot to mention that she has booked a family session with me (few months before this 40th birthday booking) and cancelled the session about 2 days prior to the session. Who was at a loss here once again? Just a small business who reserved a specific spot for her and her family on a SATURDAY or SUNDAY (that's right...the weekend)..Any photographer who knows will tell you that weekends are when we get most bookings and then to reserve a spot for herself and cancel last minute where I could have put another booking in...yet she didn't pay deposit and it was TOO SHORT NOTICE to fill that spot with another booking. WHO WAS AT A LOSS here again?
This review here is a true reflection of character where it's easy to see the small dents in another person or small business while quickly forgetting your own faults. I have saved the screenshots from this Facebook post simply because I now will not accept any business from any person who commented the nasty stuff on this specific post. It's about time businesses stand up and say NO to being bullied for no reason. Everyone has the right to voice their opinion and so does the owner of a business.
